What's inside

Chamomile:

A great herb for steadying the nerves, particularly for stress, anxiety and premenstrual tension. It helps to calm the chaos in the body and support the nervous system.

Lady’s mantle:

Traditionally Lady’s mantle has been used for women’s complaints of all ages – from adolescence to menopause. It helps to regulate the menstrual cycle, decreases period pain and heavy menstrual bleeding.

Lady’s Mantle is a wonderful herb for women’s reproductive health. It has sedative and anti-inflammatory properties, and contains salicylic acid that help relieve aches and pains during menstruation.

Lady’s Mantle also helps reduce heavy and excessive menstrual bleeding due to its high concentration of tannin, and restore a normal menstrual cycle.

Dandelion leaf:

A natural diuretic to ease fluid retention associated with PMS

Lemon balm:

Traditionally been used to soothe nervous and muscle tension, relieve anxiety and lift the mood.

Mugwort:

Mugwort was one of the first plants cultivated by humans. Ancient texts describe it as a menstrual tonic, claiming it stimulates periods that are either late or missed. Its use continues today.

Mugwort is often consumed as a tea or in supplement capsules, but no research in people exists, and the ideal dose isn’t clear.

Mugwort is a helpful herb for women suffering from amenorrhea, or lack of a period. It helps regulate the cycle and start period again. It works as a uterine tonic and stimulate blood flow to the uterus. Mugwort also has anti-inflammatory properties which is beneficial to alleviate menstrual cramps.

Nettle:

Nettle is an herbalist’s best friend. It is highly nourishing and rich in vitamins and minerals and protein — the superfood of the herb world. Because cramps are often associated with mineral depletion, nettles can help replenish them.

Magnesium, in particular, is notable for its muscle-relaxing qualities and it reduces the painful prostaglandins as well. Nettle also protects the liver.

Dandelion root:

The root of this yellow flower primarily works on the liver, which has over 500 jobs to do in the body.

What does the liver have to do with your menstrual cycle? One of its main jobs is detoxification, and through that process, we eliminate waste like excess hormones through sweat, urine, and bowel movements.

A sluggish liver, and also sluggish digestion, can lead to estrogen dominance when these systems are overburdened, which causes PMS symptoms and other more serious issues if left untreated.

Red raspberry leaf :

Red raspberry leaf is often referred as the woman’s herb because of its amazing benefits for women’s reproductive health. It contains fragarine, an alkaloid which helps reduce menstrual cramps by relaxing and tightening uterine and pelvic muscles.

Red raspberry leaf is also loaded with B vitamins, vitamin C and minerals including potassium, magnesium, zinc, phosphorus and iron, essential nutrients for a healthy menstrual cycle. Drinking red raspberry leaf is an effective and gentle way to relieve menstrual cramp.

Yarrow:

Yarrow is a medicinal herb used traditionally to promote healthy blood circulation and reduce heavy menstrual bleeding, also called menorrhagia. It has antispasmodic and anti-inflammatory properties which are beneficial to ease menstrual cramps. If you have heavy and painful period, yarrow can help reduce or stop the heavy bleeding, relieve menstrual pain and regulate the menstrual cycle.

 Linden Blossom:

Linden has anti-spasmodic and soothing qualities, making it particularly valuable for women who suffer from painful periods. Dysmenorrhea is extremely common, but a relaxing cup of linden tea can counter those symptoms, while also improving mood swings and hormonal fluctuation.

Motherwort:

Motherwort can also help relieve premenstrual tension and discomfort. Most menstrual cramps are partially due to inadequate circulation in the pelvis. Motherwort may help calm menstrual pain by both reducing spasms in the uterus and improving blood flow to the pelvis.
